TBI is once again marching with PRIDE

For the third time TBI is participating in the annual Midsumma Pride March on Sunday 3 February 2019.
This is open to everyone in our community, not just those who are LGBTQIA+, to join with other allies and supporters from various organisations and faiths in support of pride. This is a perfect family-friendly activity where people of all ages, including four-legged friends, march in support of the LGBTQIA Community.

Time: Arrive 10.30 am for an 11.00am start. This start time is earlier than last year in case of extreme heat.
Location: Meet at Ian Johnson Oval, corner Fitzroy Street and Lakeside Drive, St Kilda.
TBI is registered to march with ‘Jews of Pride’. All registered participants will be informed of the call no. and location once these have been released by Midsumma.

Parking is difficult, so we recommend taking a tram.
Trams will not be travelling down Fitzroy Street between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
There will extensive road closures throughout the area: Beaconsfield Parade, Marine Parade and Jakka Boulevard will be closed from Elwood to Port Melbourne between 6.00am and 2.30pm approximately. Fitzroy Street and the adjoining side streets will be closed to traffic between 8.00am amd 4.30pm approximately.

Dress code: colourful!
Be prepared for the weather the meeting area is a large open space with no cover.
We recommend to have water, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses (hopefully no need for umbrellas).
