Since its launch in 2015, Pop-Up Shabbat has been the primary vehicle through which we engage with our members and friends outside of the walls of the synagogue.

Initially intended to help the community access meaningful prayer expereinces in public spaces across Victoria over summer, Pop-Up Shabbat traditional home has been at the Mechanics Hall in Red Hill with occasional visits to Elwood Beach and the Victorian snowfields in winter.

In more recent years, the Pop-Up Shabbat experience has grown to include fortnightly services for residents and friends at Emmy Monash as the Temple Beth Israel community continues to look for ways to respond to the changing nature and needs of our community.
