Journey Beyond Fear - 8 December

The human rights documentary

JOURNEY BEYOND FEAR

will screen at a special event on
Sunday 8th December, 6:30pm- 8:30pm
at the Classic Cinema, Elsternwick

Told through the eyes of a teenage girl and her refugee family in pursuit of
resettlement, Journey Beyond Fear takes the viewer from despair to joy
through hope, humour and love – shattering prevailing stereotypes.

A character-driven film, featuring three magnetic daughters and shot over 7
years in Malaysia and Australia, it’s an extraordinary psychological study of the effects of refugee status.

Hosted by Raf Epstein (ABC Radio), this event includes a post-screening Q&A featuring writer/director, Robyn Hughan, Karen Dunwoodie (Deakin CREATE) and a member of the family featured in the film.
