The Temple Beth Israel community takes seriously the Jewish mandate to repair the world (Tikkun Olam). We do so by working for social justice, building interfaith harmony, protecting the environment and caring for the welfare of all the creatures with whom we share our world.

Our TBI Social Justice group coordinates our Tikkun Olam activities. To join or to find out more just let us know by calling 9510 1488 or email the office and we'll forward your request.

TBI SOCIAL JUSTICE GROUP CHARTER:

The Social Justice Group, believing in the fundamental dignity of all human beings, offers activities on behalf of Temple Beth Israel which aim to increase respect and understanding.

We are embracing of all people, whatever their race or religion. Activities focus on both the TBI community as well as the general community in which we live.

We see that education, balanced with practical work are the vehicles by which we can fulfil our aims.
