Rabbi Rayna Gevurtz BA MAHL
Rabbi Gevurtz was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and Portland, Oregon, and was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in May 2001. Prior to her rabbinic training she earned a B.Sc. (Psych) from the University of Oregon (Eugene) and was a Youth Director for Young Judea in the Pacific North West region of the United States. Rabbi Gevurtz previously served as a rabbi at Isaac Mayer Wise Temple, Cincinnati, Ohio and Temple Bat Yahm, Newport Beach, California.
She joined the TBI rabbinic team in January 2007 after serving as rabbi at our King David School. In addition to her general rabbinic duties at TBI, Rabbi Gevurtz has particular responsibility for our family programs. Rabbi Gevurtz is married to TBI rabbi Gersh Zylberman and they are blessed with two daughters, Adira and Noa, and a shnoodle named Elisheva Schnitzel.
