The TBI choir, accompanied by Joe Stupel on organ, sings on the fourth Shabbat of each month and leads the congregation in song on festivals and during High Holy Days services. Many choir members have sung together for decades and together represent about 300 years of combined experience!
The choir also performs at many cultural and interfaith events and regularly offers entertainment at Emmy Monash Homes for the Aged, B’nai B’rith, Kadimah and the Montefiore Homes. The choir rehearses regularly and welcomes new members.
Ruach Community Choir
Ruach (Spirit!) Community Choir sings in harmony to guitar and piano accompaniment, leading the congregation in song every third Friday night and Saturday morning of the months. Ruach is a welcoming musical community, and is open to new participants.
Kol Simchah (The Sound of Rejoicing), directed by Sue Morgan, is a choir specialising in harmonious liturgical music. Usually performing a capella, Kol Simchah accompanies weddings, and leads Shabbat services on the fifth Friday of the month and the annual S’lichot service. Membership is by audition. They sing hard, have fun, and welcome new members with good pitch!
