THE SIR ZELMAN AND LADY ANNA COWEN FELLOWSHIP
The Sir Zelman and Lady Anna Cowen Fellowship was initiated by the TBI Board of Governance in 2014. With the support of a Bequest funding, laying the foundation to offer an incredible opportunity for passionate TBI members determined to make a difference to TBI and ultimately Progressive Judaism.
The Fellowship offers any member of the TBI community the opportunity to travel overseas to conduct valuable research into Progressive Judaism and the promotion of the Jewish Way of Life and bring back knowledge, experience, ideas and innovations for the betterment of TBI in Victoria and ultimately Progressive Judaism in Australia.
JONA BEQUEST AWARD IN RECOGNITION FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO TBI
This award recognises distinguished achievements and/or significant contributions in the area of improving the Jewish way of TBI life through their work. TBI members are eligible based on their work in one or more of the following areas:
- Jewish education
- program and communication development
- service delivery to the TBI congregation
Nominees may include individuals or groups who have collaborated with others from TBI and have made an impact on TBI in Victoria. These achievements and contributions may have been time-focused or may have spanned a lifetime. In recognition of the valued contribution, a monetary allocation has been set aside to financially support attendance and/or travel to a conference, seminar or workshop that would lead to the advancement of TBI.
